Ben is a guest author and former employee with WinShape Teams. He loves learning and sharing with others. His degree from the University of Georgia is paired with several Landmark Learning certifications that equipped him to craft and lead programming for teams and leaders, including those as Emergency Medical Technician, Wilderness First Responder and Leave No Trace Master Educator. After college, Ben served as a lead instructor for an Appalachian Trail backpacking program and environmental educator in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Ben brought his leadership experience to WinShape Teams from 2015 - 2020, where he worked as a Program Specialist. He gets fired up about working with teams in a setting where they can take a step back from the daily grind, assess their current reality and make a commitment to better their lives and the lives of those around them.
Ben is an eighth-generation Georgian with a strong love of Southern Appalachia you might expect from that kind of lineage. When he's not developing teams, you can probably find him backpacking in the Blue Ridge Mountains, exploring new spots for Friday night contra dances or instructing first responder courses for wilderness professionals across the Southeast.
"Happiness is not a goal, but a by-product of a life well-lived."
