Leader Summits

What differentiates this training from other leadership training retreats?

This isn’t your traditional classroom training. Our approach leans on the principles of experiential learning to combine meaningful team and leadership content with activities, challenges, and scenarios that bring this content to life. We create a platform for individuals and teams to take a step from the theoretical to the practical and from the abstract to the actionable. This means trying new things, engaging new ideas, and challenging the status quo.

In addition, we think that the environment where learning takes place plays a large role in allowing you to detach from the distractions of the day and dive into an immersive experience. We work to combine our unique atmosphere and learning spaces with intentional hospitality to provide a welcoming and safe environment for individuals to be challenged and stretched.

We believe our recipe for engaging guests in meaningful ways allows us to serve, lead and ignite people in a way that leads to deeper and more meaningful change.

Is there a schedule available for this training...can I get a copy?

Yes, a basic schedule is listed on each event page. If you would like more specifics, please contact us.

The scheduling of sessions and activity times is subject to change prior to the date of the training. A final copy of the schedule will be given to each participant upon arrival.

What will the sessions consist of? How will they be taught?

Sessions are facilitated by our staff of experienced Program Specialists and Consultants in various indoor and outdoor learning environments. They include interactive instruction, content delivery, group discussion, group activities and action planning.

What is your Reservation policy? If I change my mind, can I get a refund or attend a different event?

The full amount of the event will be charged to your credit card at the time of the reservation. Once the card is charged, the payment is non-refundable. Tickets may be transferred from person-to-person up until one week from the event start date, but may not be transferred from event-to-event. If you would like to transfer your ticket to another person, please contact us. A $75 transfer fee may be assessed.

What should I wear?

Comfortable casual. We've found that the best attire is comfortable. Jeans and athletic wear are appropriate. We suggest wearing closed-toed shoes and proper outerwear for the weather because we like to have fun with activities and may spend some time outside!

Is lodging included in the price of a Leader Summit?

For our Leader Summits at Mount Berry, Georgia, lodging is included in the price. You'll be staying in our beautiful WinShape Retreat on the mountain campus of Berry College. Once you purchase your ticket, your room will automatically be reserved in your name. No further action needed!

For all other Leader Summits, lodging is not included in the price. On our event pages, we've included some hotel options so you can see what lodging possibilities are near our venues.
