In a year of growth in leadership and teaming, we have encountered tons of resources at WinShape Teams that have added value to our staff! With the holidays in mind, we wanted to share our ideas and inspiration for gifts to your favorite leader, teammate, or follower!

In no particular order…

WinShape Teams Gift Recommendations

01. The Full Focus Planner

The Full Focus Planner has been a game changer for our leaders and staff, and would make an excellent gift for anyone on your team. By setting your intentions at the beginning of each year, quarter, month, week, and day you can make sure that the main things remain the main thing and you achieve what matters!

Start with establishing your Big 3 tasks and see how much progress you make when you have your full focus placed on what is most important!

02. Atomic Habits

Atomic Habits has become a classic for anyone wanting to build or break a habit and live a healthier, fuller life. As we have worked hard at understanding how to make change stick, especially after a conference or event, we fell in love with Clear’s concept of habit stacking. Maybe this is the key gift to helping your teammates crush their New Year’s Goals!

03. Team Work

One of the best resources for a growing team member is, of course, Team Work. Perfect as a gift for your whole team or book study as a guide to being the most effective team member you can be! The timeless principles taught here are our bread and butter!

04. The Coach Model

As we build our coaching culture here at WinShape Teams and the WinShape Foundation we have been thrilled by the simple framework provided by Keith Webb in The Coach Model. This approach will revolutionize your 1:1s and the way that you provide feedback, inspire change, or gather feedback after a project!

05. Leading Change & XLR8

For the organizational leaders and the nerds of the group, we love John Kotter and his work on leading change and organizational agility as found in his books Leading Change and XLR8, respectively. We’ve learned much from his work and we tip our hat to him in our Intelligent Team Retreat as we help build more emotionally intelligent and agile teams! This would make a great gift for your team as you plan for a team retreat or by way of follow-up.

06. My Style Podcast

For our auditory learners that have attended a Teaming Event with us, you can check out the myeverythingdisc.com “My Style Podcast” and hear about your style!

07. The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry

Our staff ran a book club on John Mark Comer’s The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry this year and they cannot stop talking about it! Hurry is one of our greatest enemies and keeps us from living our best life and doing our best work. If you or someone you know needs a reminder to slow down in 2023, here it is. This could even be a suitable gift for someone post-Christmas… a New Year’s gift to start the year with intention.

08. A New Kind of Diversity

As we continue to grow in valuing diversity, equity, and belonging, this additional perspective from Tim Elmore caught our attention: A New Kind of Diversity: Making the Different Generations on Your Team a Competitive Advantage. One aspect of leading and teaming in today’s workforce is the reality that individuals from up to five generations can be found on a single team. Learn how to avoid division and forge unity across generational divides and make it your team’s superpower.

09. Dare to Lead

In the spirit of accepting responsibility and responding with courage, Dare to Lead from Brené Brown is a guiding light. For when you need to have a hard conversation or want to build a courageous culture, this book will inspire you to do more for your team!

10. Saturday Solopreneur

How about giving yourself a gift? While not a book, Justin Welsh’s “Saturday Solopreneur” newsletter will give you short tips and ideas for building your business and boosting your impact! Great news for the budgeters here, it’s free! Practice one tip every week and watch yourself grow!

11. EQi 2.0 Assessment & Coaching

If you’re looking for inspiration and to set yourself on a growth journey in 2023, growing in your emotional intelligence will not only help you but also everyone in your circles of influence! We recommend the EQi 2.0 Assessment and Coaching! Contact us to inquire about how to get started toward greater Emotional Intelligence!

12. Craig Groeschel’s Leadership Podcast

Another solid podcast option for practical leadership tips and inspiration, our staff have enjoyed listening to Craig Groeschel this year. He interviews a wide range of leaders, tackles leadership challenges head on, and shares a powerful message. This one is more like a gift that keeps on giving.

No matter what you choose as a gift to yourself, your team, or someone you care about, let it inspire growth in their life and leadership. Know at WinShape Teams we are always on your team and want to help you become stronger, healthier, and more fulfilled!

As you go into the new year, “Don’t ask yourself what the world needs.

Ask yourself what makes you come alive, and go do that,

because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”
